Quote:
{6:95} Indeed, God is the cleaver of grain and date seeds. He brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living. That is God; so how are you deluded?
This translation has ignored the difference between
يخرج and
مخرج but Yusuf Ali, Pickthall and Asad were alert. I suggest,
{6:95} Verily, God is the cleaver of grain and date stones (before they sprout). He exits the living out of the dead and is the one who exits the dead from the living. That is God; so how far are you beguiled?Quote:
{6:96} [He is] the cleaver of daybreak and has made the night for rest and the sun and moon for calculation. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.
I suggest,
{6:96} [He is] the cleaver of the morning (bringer of the daybreak) and has made the night a stillness and the sun and moon [ways of] calculation. That is the accurate design of the Almighty, the All-Knowing.
