Quote:
{87:8} And We will ease you toward ease.
I like Pickthall's translation of
اليسرى as "the state of ease." That's because the word does not mean a life without problems or hardships, but rather a life where decisions are easily made because the person is sure footed. So, I suggest,
{87:8} And We will ease you toward the easy [way of life].Quote:
{87:10} He who fears [God] will be reminded.
سيذكر is the same as
سيتذكر, therefore it should be translated "then he will remember."
{87:10} He who fears [God] will recall [God's teachings].Quote:
{87:12} [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire,
No need for the interjection "enter and".
Quote:
{87:13} Neither dying therein nor living.
Excellent translation but I want to be closer to the Arabic words, so I suggest,
{87:13} Then he will not die in it nor live.
