I suggest,
{9:14} Fight them so that God may torment them with your hands, disgrace them, give you victory over them and vindicate the [frustrated] bosoms of a believing folk.

Quote:

{9:15} And remove the fury in the believers' hearts. And God turns in forgiveness to whom He wills; and God is Knowing and Wise.

I suggest,
{9:15} And remove the fury in their hearts (the believers'). And God grants repentance upon whomever He wills; and God is All-Knowing, Wise.

Quote:

{9:16} Do you think that you will be left [as you are] while God has not yet made evident those among you who strive [for His cause] and do not take other than God, His Messenger and the believers as intimates? And God is Acquainted with what you do.

I suggest,
{9:16} Or did you reckon that you would be left [untested] while God has not yet noted those who strove [for His cause] among you and did not take for themselves besides God, His messenger and the believers as adherent? And God is All-Aware of what you do.
