Quote:
{7:54} Indeed, your Lord is God, who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne. He covers the night with the day, [another night] chasing it rapidly; and [He created] the sun, the moon, and the stars, subjected by His command. Unquestionably, His is the creation and the command; blessed is God, Lord of the worlds.
Great translation except, IMHO, for the adverb
حثيثا which means "persistently" or "urgently." I therefore suggest this minor change,
{7:54} Verily, your Lord is God, who created the heavens and the earth in six days and then settled Himself on the Throne. He covers the night with the day, urgently chasing it; and [He created] the sun, the moon, and the stars, subjected by His command. Lo!, to Him belong creation and command; blessed is God, Lord of the worlds.Quote:
{7:55} Call upon your Lord in humility and privately; indeed, He does not like transgressors.
I suggest,
{7:55} Call upon your Lord imploring [aloud] and privately; verily, He does not like transgressors.Quote:
{7:56} And cause not corruption upon the earth after its reformation. And invoke Him in fear and aspiration. Indeed, the mercy of God is near to the doers of good.
I suggest,
{7:56} And do not corrupt in the earth after its orderliness. And invoke Him out of fear and longing. Verily, the mercy of God is near to the benevolent.
