Quote:
{7:88} Said the eminent ones who were arrogant among his people, "We will surely evict you, O Shuayb, and those who have believed with you from our city, or you must return to our religion." He said, "Even if we were unwilling?"

I suggest,
{7:88} Said the elite who deemed themselves big among his people, "We will surely evict you, O Shu`ayb, and those who have believed with you from our village, or you must return to our doctrine." He said, "Even if we are detesting [it]?"

Quote:
{7:89} We would have invented against God a lie if we returned to your religion after God had saved us from it. And it is not for us to return to it except that God, our Lord, should will. Our Lord has encompassed all things in knowledge. Upon God we have relied. Our Lord, decide between us and our people in truth, and You are the best of those who give decision."

I suggest,
{7:89} "We would have invented against God untruth if we returned to your doctrine after God had rescued us from it. And it is not for us to return to it except that God, our Lord, should will. Our Lord has encompassed everything in knowledge. Upon God we have relied. Our Lord, open up between us and our people in truth, and You are the best of openers."
