Quote:
{7:175} And recite to them, [O Muhammad], the news of him to whom we gave [knowledge of] Our signs, but he detached himself from them; so Satan pursued him, and he became of the deviators.

I suggest,
{7:175} And recite to them [, O Muhammad,] the tale of him to whom we granted Our signs, but he shed himself off of them; so Satan pursued him, and he became of the lured.

Quote:
{7:176} And if We had willed, we could have elevated him thereby, but he adhered [instead] to the earth and followed his own desire. So his example is like that of the dog: if you chase him, he pants, or if you leave him, he [still] pants. That is the example of the people who denied Our signs. So relate the stories that perhaps they will give thought.

I suggest,
{7:176} And if We had willed, we would have elevated him thereby, but he adhered [instead] to the earth and followed his fancy. So his parable is like the parable of the dog: if you impel him, he pants, or if you leave him, he [still] pants. That is the parable of the folk who belied Our signs. So relate the stories that perhaps they might contemplate.

Quote:
{7:177} How evil an example [is that of] the people who denied Our signs and used to wrong themselves.

I suggest,
{7:177} Vile has been [such] parable of folk who belied Our signs and [it was] themselves [that] they have been wronging.
