Quote:
{79:6} On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation],

I suggest,
{79:6} [On] the Day the shuddering shudders.

Quote:
{79:7} There will follow it the subsequent [one].

I suggest,
{79:7} Following it, the trailer.

Quote:
{79:8} Hearts, that Day, will tremble,

I suggest,
{79:8} Hearts, that Day, are throbbing,

Quote:
{79:9} Their eyes humbled.

I prefer a present participle to match the Arabic, such as "revering." Also a good translation would be "solemn."

I suggest,
{79:9} Their sights revering.

Quote:
{79:10} They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]?

I suggest,
{79:10} Saying, "Are we, verily, being returned into the pit?"

Quote:
{79:11} Even if we should be decayed bones?"

Love Ahmad Ali's translation of نخرة as "carious." I suggest,
{79:11} "Even when we had been carious bones?"

Quote:
{79:12} They say, "That, then, would be a losing return."

I suggest,
{79:12} "That, then, would be a losing comeback."

Quote:
{79:13} Indeed, it will be but one shout,

I suggest,
{79:13} But verily, it is but one shove,

Quote:
{79:14} And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface.

I suggest,
{79:14} And lo!, they are by the wide-awake [place].
