{77:35} This is a Day they will not speak,

I suggest,
{77:35} This is a Day [when] they do not enunciate,

Quote:
{77:36} Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse.

I suggest,
{77:36} Nor are they be permitted to apologize.

That's because the verb اعتذر means to try to be excused, i.e., to apologize, while another verb, أعذر, is the one that means to offer an excuse.

Quote:
{77:37} Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

I suggest,
{77:37} Woe, that Day, to the belying.

I am glad you explained the difference. Apology has more humility to it than making an excuse has, so the fact that it is not even permitted shows that this is serious business.
