Quote:
{74:1} O you who covers himself [with a garment],

I suggest a simple,
{74:1} O you the cloaked one (Muhammad),

Quote:
{74:3} And your Lord glorify

{74:4} And your clothing purify

{74:5} And uncleanliness avoid

Is the above proper English? If it is, it's beautiful prose! And an excellent translation. I only wish there was a synonym for "avoid" which would rhyme with "glorify" and "purify" ;)

Quote:
{74:6} And do not confer favor to acquire more

I'd interject "with the intention", i.e.,
{74:6} And do not confer favors [with the intention] to acquire more.

Where is Poetic when we need him? :D
I think some punctuation is needed. Not sure if it is a column, comma, or semi-column after "Lord" and "clothing." Also, I don't like "avoid" and I suggest "desert" (verb).

A simple "in order to" would work.

Yip, Poetic is the one to find the synonym we need to rhyme with "purify!"

I'm not sure of "desert" though I agree it's a better translation. The reader may initially think it means the open space with sand ;)

I like that a lot.
