Quote:
{74:24} And said, "This is not but magic imitated [from others].
يؤثر does not mean "imitated," it means "inherited from the tradition of older generations." Asad got it right when he translated it "handed down."
Quote:
{74:25} This is not but the word of a human being."
The Arabic says "humans" in plural.
Quote:
{74:26} I will drive him into Saqar.
Here transliteration is necessary because "Saqar" is a name for Hell in Arabic, but as with any transliteration, it must be explained to the unfamiliar reader, so I suggest,
{74:26} I will roast him in Saqar (Hell).
