Quote:
{72:6} And there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn, so they [only] increased them in burden.
I suggest,
{72:6} "And there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the sprites, but they [only] increased them in burden."Quote:
{72:7} And they had thought, as you thought, that God would never send anyone [as a messenger].
I like this translation. I had previously understood it like Yusuf Ali and Pickthall did, i.e., that the sprites believed that there will be no resurrection. But that can't be because we learn from
that the sprites heard the Torah.
However, that too is an interpretation! So, I suggest,
{72:7} "And they had thought, as you (fellow sprites) thought, that God would never send off anyone."
