Quote:
{72:8} And we have sought [to reach] the heaven but found it filled with powerful guards and burning flames.
I suggest,
{72:8} "And we touched the sky but found it filled [with] tough garrison and darts."Quote:
{72:9} And we used to sit therein in positions for hearing, but whoever listens now will find a burning flame lying in wait for him.
I suggest,
{72:9} "And we used to sit therein in seats for hearing, but whoever listens now finds for him a dart targeted."Quote:
{72:10} And we do not know [therefore] whether evil is intended for those on earth or whether their Lord intends for them a right course.
I suggest,
{72:10} "And we do not know [therefore]: was evil intended for those in the earth or did their Lord want for them forthrightness."Quote:
{72:11} And among us are the righteous, and among us are [others] not so; we were [of] divided ways.
I suggest,
{72:11} "And among us are the righteous, and among us are less than that; we have been [on] directions torn apart."Quote:
{72:12} And we have become certain that we will never cause failure to God upon earth, nor can we escape Him by flight.
I suggest,
{72:12} "And we presumed that we would never outdo God in the earth, nor would we outmaneuver Him [by] absconding."
