Quote:
{6:1} [All] praise is [due] to God, who created the heavens and the earth and made the darkness and the light. Then those who disbelieve equate [others] with their Lord.
As in 1:1, I don't see the necessity of the two interjections "All" and "due." I suggest,
{6:1} Praise is to God, who created the heavens and the earth and set up the darknesses and the light. [Even] then those who have disbelieved with their Lord they rival!Quote:
{6:2} It is He who created you from clay and then decreed a term and a specified time [known] to Him; then [still] you are in dispute.
I suggest,
{6:2} It is He who created you from clay and then decreed a term - and [it is] a named term with Him. [Even] then you dispute!Quote:
{6:3} And He is God, [the only deity] in the heavens and the earth. He knows your secret and what you make public, and He knows that which you earn.
I suggest,
{6:3} And He is God in the heavens and the earth. He knows your secret and your vocalizing, and He knows what you earn.
