I suggest,

{6:52} And do not banish those who call upon their Lord by dawning and evenings, wanting His countenance (acceptance). Not upon you of their reckoning is anything, and none of your reckoning is upon them at all. So [were you to] banish them, you would be of the wrongdoers.

{6:53} And thus We tempted some of them with others to say, "Are these upon whom God has bestowed favor among us?" Is not God most knowing of the thankful?

{6:54} And when have come to you those who believe in Our signs, then say, "Peace be upon you. Your Lord has written upon Himself mercy: that whoever of you did wrong out of ignorance and then repented after it and reformed, that then, He is much Forgiving, Merciful."

{6:55} And thus do We detail the verses, and to become evident the way of the criminals.
