Quote:
{6:88} That is the guidance of God by which He guides whomever He wills of His servants. But if they had associated others with God, then worthless for them would be whatever they were doing.

I suggest,
{6:88} That is the guidance of God by which He guides whomever He wills of His worshipers. But if they had associated [others with God in worship], surely would have sunk from about them what they had been working.

Quote:
{6:89} Those are the ones to whom We gave the Scripture and authority and prophethood. But if the disbelievers deny it, then We have entrusted it to a people who are not therein disbelievers.

I suggest,
{6:89} Those are the ones to whom We granted the Book, rule and prophethood. But if should disbelieve in it (Islam) these (Meccan pagans), then We have entrusted it to a folk who are not therein disbelievers.

Quote:
{6:90} Those are the ones whom God has guided, so from their guidance take an example. Say, "I ask of you for this message no payment. It is not but a reminder for the worlds."

I suggest,
{6:90} Those are the ones whom God has guided, therefore by their guidance lead yourself. Say, "I do not ask of you for it (this message) any wage. It is but a reminder for the worlds."
