Quote:
{6:105} And thus do We diversify the verses so the disbelievers will say, "You have studied," and so We may make the Quran clear for a people who know.
It is tempting to go with Sarwar's translation of
وليقولوا, namely "let them say," but the conjugation is not imperative. I suggest,
{6:105} And thus We diversify the signs, and so that they may say, "You have studied", and so that We clarify it to a folk who know.Quote:
{6:106} Follow, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you from your Lord - there is no deity except Him - and turn away from those who associate others with God.
I suggest,
{6:106} Follow [, O Muhammad,] what has been sent down to you from your Lord - there is no deity except He - and turn aside from those associating [others with God in worship].Quote:
{6:107} But if God had willed, they would not have associated. And We have not appointed you over them as a guardian, nor are you a manager over them.
I suggest,
{6:107} But if God had willed, they would not have associated. And We have not appointed you over them as a guardian, nor are you over them, in the slightest, a trustee.
