Quote:
{65:8} And how many a city was insolent toward the command of its Lord and His messengers, so We took it to severe account and punished it with a terrible punishment.

I suggest,
{65:8} And how many a town has rebelled against the command of its Lord and His messengers, so We reckoned it a severe reckoning and tormented it with a torment abhorrent.

Quote:
{65:9} And it tasted the bad consequence of its affair, and the outcome of its affair was loss.

I suggest,
{65:9} And it tasted the fallout of its affair, and the consequence of its affair was loss.

Quote:
{65:10} God has prepared for them a severe punishment; so fear God, O you of understanding who have believed. God has sent down to you the Quran.

I suggest,
{65:10} God has prepared for them a severe torment; so watch out for God, O you with intellects who have believed. God has sent down to you a Reminder.

Quote:
{65:11} He sent] a Messenger [Muhammad] reciting to you the distinct verses of God that He may bring out those who believe and do righteous deeds from darknesses into the light. And whoever believes in God and does righteousness - He will admit him into gardens beneath which rivers flow to abide therein forever. God will have perfected for him a provision.

I suggest,
{65:11} [He sent] a Messenger reciting to you the verses of God, clarifying, so that He may bring out those who have believed and done the righteous [deeds] from darknesses into the light. And whoever believes in God and does a righteous [deed] - He admits him into gardens flowing beneath which are rivers, lasting therein forever. God will have perfected for him a provision.
