Quote:
{59:1} Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth exalts God, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

I suggest,
{59:1} Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth has sanctified for God, and He is the Almighty, the Wise.

Quote:
{59:2} It is He who expelled the ones who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture from their homes at the first gathering. You did not think they would leave, and they thought that their fortresses would protect them from God; but [the decree of] God came upon them from where they had not expected, and He cast terror into their hearts [so] they destroyed their houses by their [own] hands and the hands of the believers. So take warning, O people of vision.

I suggest,
{59:2} It is He who expelled the ones who have disbelieved among the People of the Book from their homes at the first gathering. You did not think they would leave, and they thought that shielding them are their fortresses against God; but God came upon them from where they had not expected, and He cast into their hearts terror [so] they wreck their homes by their [own] hands and the hands of the believers. So take lesson, O people of sights.

Quote:
{59:3} And if not that God had decreed for them evacuation, He would have punished them in [this] world, and for them in the Hereafter is the punishment of the Fire.

I suggest,
{59:3} And if not that God had decreed upon them exodus, He would have tormented them in [this] the nearest [life], and for them in the Hereafter is the torment of the Fire.

Quote:
{59:4} That is because they opposed God and His Messenger. And whoever opposes God - then indeed, God is severe in penalty.

I suggest,
{59:4} That is because they have broken off with God and His Messenger. And whoever breaks off with God - then verily, God is severe in punishment.

Quote:
{59:5} Whatever you have cut down of [their] palm trees or left standing on their trunks - it was by permission of God and so He would disgrace the defiantly disobedient.

I suggest,
{59:5} Whatever you have cut down of tender palm trees or left standing on their foundations - it was by permission of God and so He would disgrace the deviant.
