Quote:
{53:42} And that to your Lord is the finality

Excellent choice of word: finality!

Quote:
{53:47} And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation

"Creation" is not quite correct. The Arabic word means bringing something up from nothing, but that's not creation. Creation is bringing something out of something else. So, I suggest,
{53:47} And that [incumbent] upon Him is the other initiation (resurrection).

Quote:
{53:48} And that it is He who enriches and suffices

I suggest,
{53:48} And that it is He who frees from need and grants possessions.

Agreed, but there is a problem. The translation of this verse, by itself, can be parsed as meaning "and that thing is the finality in the view of your Lord" rather than the intended "and the finality is in the direction of your Lord." Not sure what to do about it, if anything. In the context of the other verses the problem is mitigated.

Good point. However, given that this verse is a continuation of the previous verses, the latter semantic prevails. We could also use "destiny" instead of "finality" but I like "finality" too much to replace it :)
