Quote:
{4:64} And We did not send any messenger except to be obeyed by permission of God. And if, when they wronged themselves, they had come to you, [O Muhammad], and asked forgiveness of God and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found God Accepting of repentance and Merciful.

Excellent translation. My edits to it are minimal:
{4:64} And We did not send any messenger except to be obeyed by permission of God. And if, when they wronged themselves, they had come to you [, O Muhammad], then asked forgiveness of God, and the Messenger asked forgiveness for them, they would have found God Accepting of repentance, Merciful.

Quote:
{4:65} But no, by your Lord, they will not [truly] believe until they make you, [O Muhammad], judge concerning that over which they dispute among themselves and then find within themselves no discomfort from what you have judged and submit in [full, willing] submission.

Excellent translation, but I'd like to make some minor modifications in order to more closely match the Arabic,

{4:65} But no, by your Lord, they do not [truly] believe until they arbitrate you [, O Muhammad,] in what has shot up between themselves and then do not find within themselves [any] awkwardness about what you have ruled and submit a [full, willing] submission.
