Quote:
{4:121} The refuge of those will be Hell, and they will not find from it an escape.
"Escape" is a reasonable translation of
محيص but not very accurate. The Arabic dictionary defines the word as a way to be rid of fluff leaving only the good stuff. The verb is used to describe the removal of fat from meat, for instance. In the context of sin, as in this verse, it would mean its expiation or reparation. I suggest,
{4:121} Those - their refuge is Gehenna (Hell), and they [will] not find away from it a reparation.Quote:
{4:122} But the ones who believe and do righteous deeds - We will admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever. [It is] the promise of God, [which is] truth, and who is more truthful than God in statement.
I suggest,
{4:122} But the ones who have believed and done the righteous [deeds] - We will soon admit them to gardens flowing beneath which are rivers, lasting therein forever, the promise of God, duly, and who is more truthful than God in word?
