Quote:
{45:21} Or do those who commit evils think We will make them like those who have believed and done righteous deeds - [make them] equal in their life and their death? Evil is that which they judge.
As much as I love Aisha Bewley's translation of
اجترحوا as "perpetrated", I looked up the word and it simply means "to earn". So, I suggest,
{45:21} Or do they think - those who acquire misdeeds - that We [will] make them like those who have believed and done the righteous [deeds], same in their living and their dying? It galls what they judge.Quote:
{45:22} And God created the heavens and earth in truth and so that every soul may be recompensed for what it has earned, and they will not be wronged.
I would only add the definitive article to "earth",
{45:22} And God created the heavens and the earth in truth and so that every soul may be recompensed for what it has earned, and they will not be wronged.
