Quote:
{43:33} And if it were not that the people would become one community [of disbelievers], We would have made for those who disbelieve in the Beneficent - for their houses - ceilings and stairways of silver upon which to mount
The interjection [of disbelievers] is interpretive. We here do not want to interpret before we translate. So, I suggest,
{43:33} And if it were not that the people would be one community, We would have made for those who disbelieve in the Beneficent - for their homes - ceilings of silver and stairways upon which they loom.Quote:
{43:34} And for their houses - doors and couches [of silver] upon which to recline
I don't know why the interjection [of silver] is used above. I suggest,
{43:34} And for their homes - doors and chaises upon which they recline.Quote:
{43:35} And gold ornament. But all that is not but the enjoyment of worldly life. And the Hereafter with your Lord is for the righteous.
I suggest,
{43:35} And ornament. But all that is but the enjoyment of [this] the nearest life. And the Hereafter with your Lord is for the watchful [of Him].
