Quote:
{3:18} God witnesses that there is no deity except Him, and [so do] the angels and those of knowledge - [that He is] maintaining [creation] in justice. There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

I suggest,

{3:18} God testifies that there is no god but He, and [so do] the angels and those with knowledge, in charge of equity. There is no god but He, the Mighty, the Wise.

Quote:
{3:19} Indeed, the religion in the sight of God is Islam. And those who were given the Scripture did not differ except after knowledge had come to them - out of jealous animosity between themselves. And whoever disbelieves in the verses of God, then indeed, God is swift in [taking] account.

As we mentioned before, آيات means "signs", not verses.

This needs work. The location of "in charge of equity" makes it sound like it is describing the angels and those with knowledge. Also "in charge" doesn't reflect the active component of the Arabic word.

How about Asad's choice, "Upholder",

{3:18} God has testified that there is no god but He, and [so do] the angels and those with knowledge, Upholder of equity. There is no god but He, the Almighty, the Wise.

Much better. A side benefit is that "Upholder" is singular, so it removes the ambiguity of "in charge" about who is being described (since the angels and those with knowledge are plural).
