Quote:
{3:42} And [mention] when the angels said, "O Mary, indeed God has chosen you and purified you and chosen you above the women of the worlds.

I'd only remove the extra "and", i.e.,
{3:42} And [mention] when the angels said, "O Mary, verily, God has chosen you, purified you and chosen you above the women of the worlds."

Quote:
{3:43} O Mary, be devoutly obedient to your Lord and prostrate and bow with those who bow [in prayer]."

I suggest,
{3:43} "O Mary, devote to your Lord, prostrate and bow with the bowing [in prayer]."

Quote:
{3:44} That is from the news of the unseen which We reveal to you, [O Muhammad]. And you were not with them when they cast their pens as to which of them should be responsible for Mary. Nor were you with them when they disputed.

I'd translate يكفل directly as "sponsor."

I suggest,
{3:44} That is from the news of the Beyond We reveal to you [, O Muhammad]. And you were not with them when they cast their pens as to which of them would sponsor Mary. And you were not by them as they are disputing.

My impression of يكفل is along the lines of "take care of" or "take custody of." I would say if one word is used, "sponsor" works.
