Quote:
{3:55} [Mention] when God said, "O Jesus, indeed I will take you and raise you to Myself and purify you from those who disbelieve and make those who follow you [in submission to God alone] superior to those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return, and I will judge between you concerning that in which you used to differ.

"I will take you" is an inadequate translation of إني متوفيك and an imprecise tense. I suggest, "I am recalling you."

{3:55} When God said, "O Jesus, verily, I am recalling you, lifting you up toward Myself, purifying you from those who have disbelieved and making those who followed you above those who have disbelieved until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return [all of you], then I judge between you concerning what you have thereon been differing.

Quote:
{3:56} And as for those who disbelieved, I will punish them with a severe punishment in this world and the Hereafter, and they will have no helpers."

I suggest,
{3:56} And as for those who have disbelieved, then I torment them a severe torment in [this] the nearest [life] and the Hereafter, and not for them are any helpers."

Quote:
{3:57} But as for those who believed and did righteous deeds, He will give them in full their rewards, and God does not like the wrongdoers.

I suggest,
{3:57} But as for those who have believed and done the righteous [deeds], He fully gives them their rewards, and God does not like the wrongdoers.

Quote:
{3:58} This is what We recite to you, [O Muhammad], of [Our] verses and the precise [and wise] message.

I suggest,
{3:58} That We recite to you [, O Muhammad,] of the verses and the wise Reminder.
