Quote:
{40:30} And he who believed said, "O my people, indeed I fear for you [a fate] like the day of the companies -

I suggest,
{40:30} And said he who believed, "O [my] folk, verily I fear for you [a fate] like the day of the clans-

Quote:
{40:31} Like the custom of the people of Noah, `Aad and Thamood and those after them. And God does not want injustice to the worshipers.

I suggest,
{40:31} Like the tenacity of the people of Noah, `Aad and Thamood and those after them. And it is not that God wants injustice for the worshipers.

Quote:
{40:32} And O my people, indeed I fear for you the Day of Calling -

I suggest,
{40:32} And O [my] folk, verily I fear for you the Day of Outcrying-

Quote:
{40:33} The Day you will turn your backs fleeing; there is not for you from God any protector. And whoever God leaves astray - there is not for him any guide.

I suggest,
{40:33} The Day you will turn back retreating; there is not for you from God any blocker. And whoever God lets stray - then there is not for him any guide.

Quote:
{40:34} And Joseph had already come to you before with clear proofs, but you remained in doubt of that which he brought to you, until when he died, you said, 'Never will God send a messenger after him.' Thus does God leave astray he who is a transgressor and skeptic."

I suggest,
{40:34} And Joseph did come to you before with clear proofs, but you remained in doubt of what he came to you with, until when he passed away, you said, 'Never will God send after him a messenger.' Thus does God let stray him who is reckless and skeptic."

Quote:
{40:35} Those who dispute concerning the signs of God without an authority having come to them - great is hatred [of them] in the sight of God and in the sight of those who have believed. Thus does God seal over every heart [belonging to] an arrogant tyrant.

I suggest,
{40:35} Those who dispute over the signs of God without an authority having come to them - great is loathing [of that] in the sight of God and in the sight of those who have believed. Thus does God stamp over every heart of an arrogant and tyrant.
