Quote:
{39:7} If you disbelieve - indeed, God is Free from need of you. And He does not approve for His servants disbelief. And if you are grateful, He approves it for you; and no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. Then to your Lord is your return, and He will inform you about what you used to do. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts.
I suggest,
{39:7} If you disbelieve - verily, God is needless of you. And He does not approve for His worshipers disbelief. And if you thank, He approves it for you; and no bearer of burdens shall bear the burden of another. Then to your Lord is your return, and He will inform you about what you have been working. Indeed, He is All-Knowing of the essence of the bosoms.Quote:
{39:8} And when adversity touches man, he calls upon his Lord, turning to Him [alone]; then when He bestows on him a favor from Himself, he forgets Him whom he called upon before, and he attributes to God equals to mislead [people] from His way. Say, "Enjoy your disbelief for a little; indeed, you are of the companions of the Fire."
ما كان يدعو إليه does not means "Him whom he called upon before", because ما refers to the inanimate! I suggest,
{39:8} And when adversity touches man, he calls upon his Lord, turning to Him [alone]; then when He bestows on him a bounty from Himself, he forgets what he called for before, and he assigns to God equals to mislead [people] from His way. Say, "Enjoy your disbelief for a little; verily, you are of the inmates of the Fire."
