Should the story in these verses be expounded upon a bit in the translation? For the benefit of those who don't know it?

For example,

{38:42} [So he was told], "Strike [the ground] with your foot; this is a [healing spring for] a cool bath and a drink."

{38:44} [We said], "And take in your hand a bunch [of weeds] and strike with it [those you vowed in anger to strike] and do not break your oath." Indeed, We found him patient. What an excellent worshiper! Indeed, he was always turning back [to God].
