Quote:
{36:33} And a sign for them is the dead earth. We have brought it to life and brought forth from it grain, and from it they eat.
Shouldn't the full stop after the first sentence be a colon? The sign is not the dead earth but bringing it to life. I suggest,
{36:33} And a sign for them is the dead earth: We brought it to life and brought out of it grain and from it they eat.Quote:
{36:35} That they may eat of His fruit. And their hands have not produced it, so will they not be grateful?
I confess that I thought like Sarwar did, that
وماعملته أيديهم means "and what their hands made." But this and the other translations all understood it to mean "And their hands did not make it." Both meanings are born by the Arabic, but the latter fits the context much better.
