{35:15} O mankind, you are those in need of God, while God is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy.

I suggest,
{33:15} O mankind, you are the ones needy of God, while God is the Needless, the much Praiseworthy.

Needless should be replaced, as it describes an entity that is not needed rather than an entity that does not need.

Unneedy would be the right choice if it were a word :D. Self-sufficient carries the meaning, but is a bit weak.

I see your point. Why not use the word most associated with الغني, i.e., "the Rich One"?
{33:15} O mankind, you are the ones needy of God, while God is the Rich One, the much Praiseworthy.

Absent another word that captures the lack of need for anything (rather than just money), we can settle for "Rich."

I couldn't find any one word that conveys the meaning, only a phrase, "Free of need."

I'd also like to suggest this for 35:16-17,

{35:16} If He wills, He would oust you and bring a new creation.
{35:17} And that for God is not, in the least, insurmountable.
