{2:37} Then Adam received from his Lord [some] words, and He accepted his repentance. Indeed, it is He who is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.

Excellent translation, especially that of تاب عليه as "accepted his repentance". I'd only remove the interjection "some". It's unnecessary and actually redundant.

Quote:
{2:38} We said, "Go down from it, all of you. And when guidance comes to you from Me, whoever follows My guidance - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.

"Descend" is a better translation of اهبطوا than "go down."

Quote:
{2:39} And those who disbelieve and deny Our signs - those will be companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally."

I'd change the last sentence to "In it they are staying."

Actually, the Arabic does not say, "And when ...", it says "And if ..." That's because إما is the diffusion of إن, which means "if" and ما which has so many uses in Arabic, one of which is emphasis. Yusuf Ali is the only one who caught that meaning in his translation, "and if, as is sure, there comes to you Guidance from Me ..."

Perhaps we can translate this verse as follows,
{2:38} We said, "Descend from it, all of you. And surely if guidance comes to you from Me, whoever follows My guidance - there shall be no fear upon them nor shall they grieve.

{2:37} Then Adam received from his Lord words, then He accepted his repentance. Verily, it is He who is the Oft-Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.

{2:38} We said, "Descend from it, all of you. Then surely if comes to you from Me guidance, then whoever follows My guidance - there shall be no fear upon them nor shall they grieve.

{2:39} And those who have disbelieved and belied Our signs - those are the inmates of the Fire; they therein are lasting."
