Quote:
{2:221} And do not marry polytheistic women until they believe. And a believing slave woman is better than a polytheist, even though she might please you. And do not marry polytheistic men [to your women] until they believe. And a believing slave is better than a polytheist, even though he might please you. Those invite [you] to the Fire, but God invites to Paradise and to forgiveness, by His permission. And He makes clear His verses to the people that perhaps they may remember.

I'd change "please you" to "appeal to you" or "look good to you" or something like that, because pleasing is an active action while أعجبتكم is an inactive action.

I also see no reason for the interjection "you" in "they invite [you]." They invite you and others, don't they?

Finally, we spoke a number of times about the translation "Paradise" and "verses." I'd replace "Paradise" with "Garden". I suggest,

{2:221} And do not marry polytheist women until they believe. And a believing bondwoman is better than a polytheist, even if she has marveled you. And do not marry polytheist men until they believe. And a believing bondman is better than a polytheist, even if he has marveled you. Those invite to the Fire, but God invites to the Garden and forgiveness, by His permission. And He clarifies His verses to the people that perhaps they may remember.

"appeal to you" is just right.

"appeal to you" is just right.

The challenge in closely translating أعجبتكم is that the Arabic verb is transitive and it is initiated from the attractive person, in addition to being an inactive verb as I mentioned before. That is why I settled on Samira M. Ali's suggestion of "marvel". It fits all three criteria.
