I suggest,

{2:273} [Charity is] for the poor who have been restricted for the cause of God, unable to move about in the land. An ignorant [person] would think them self-sufficient because of their restraint, but you will know them by their [characteristic] sign. They do not ask people persistently [or at all]. And whatever you spend of good - indeed, God is Knowing of it.
The adjective "ignorant" has acquired a derogatory connotation, so I suggest "uninformed."
Also there is no justification for the interjection "or at all."
I suggest,
{2:273} [Charitable spending is] for the needy who have been straitened [as a result of their work] for the cause of God, they have no means of venturing in the land. The uninformed [person] would think them self-sufficient because of [their] abnegation, but you will surely recognize them by their features. They do not solicit people with importunity. And whatever you spend of good - then verily, God is of it All-Knowing.Quote:
{2:274} Those who spend their wealth [in God's way] by night and by day, secretly and publicly - they will have their reward with their Lord. And no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.
I suggest,
{2:274} Those who spend their riches [as stated] by night and by day, secretly and publicly - then for them is their reward with their Lord. And no fear shall there be upon them, nor shall they grieve.
