Quote:
{2:285} The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in God and His angels and His books and His messengers, [saying], "We make no distinction between any of His messengers." And they say, "We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [final] destination."

"We make no distinction" is a good translation of لانفرق but a better one, IMHO, is "We do not separate." That's because فرّق is the opposite of جمع (united; gathered; collected). The verse instructs the believers not to form groups of prophets but to understand that they are all of the same family of faith, as the prophet, peace be upon him, explained, الأنبياء إخوة لِعَلات (The prophets are half brothers [on their mothers' side]).

An alternative is "segregate."

That's a better word. Thanks.

{2:285} The Messenger has believed in what was sent down to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. Each has believed in God, His angels, His Books and His messengers, [saying], "We do not segregate between any one of His messengers." And they said, "We heard and we obeyed. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the destination."
