Quote: {26:224} And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them; I suggest, {26:224} And the poets - the lured follow them; Quote: {26:227} Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember God often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. Dr. Ghali made an excellent translation of انتصروا, "vindicate themselves." I'd like to echo it, {26:227} Except those who believe, do the righteous [deeds], remember God much and vindicate themselves after they were wronged. And those who have wronged shall know to what return they will turn. |
