Limiting the word
الخبيثات to refer to words is an interpretation. It can refer to wicked women as well, which is linguistically valid. So, I suggest,
{24:26} Wicked [women or things] are for wicked men, and wicked men are for wicked [women or things]. And good [women or things] are for good men and good men are for good [women or things]. Those are absolved of what they (the slanderers) say; for them is forgiveness and noble provision.
