Quote:
{21:108} Say, "It is only revealed to me that your god is but one God; so will you be Muslims [in submission to Him]?"
I suggest,
{21:108} Say, "Verily, what is revealed to me is that your god is but one God; so are you Muslims (submitting)?"Quote:
{21:109} But if they turn away, then say, "I have announced to [all of] you equally. And I know not whether near or far is that which you are promised.
It is very hard to translate
إن أدري as simple a clause as it is! It literally means "if I know." And what Arabic conveys with it is "I do not know." I suggest,
{21:109} But if they turn away, then say, "I have announced to [all of] you equally. And if only I know is it near or far what you are promised."Quote:
{21:110} Indeed, He knows what is declared of speech, and He knows what you conceal.
I suggest,
{21:110} "Verily, He knows the vocalizing of uttering, and He knows what you conceal."Quote:
{21:111} And I know not; perhaps it is a trial for you and enjoyment for a time."
I suggest,
{21:111} "And if only I know [that] perhaps it is a trial for you and convenience for a while."Quote:
{21:112} [The Prophet] has said, "My Lord, judge [between us] in truth. And our Lord is the Beneficent, the one whose help is sought against that which you describe."
I suggest,
{21:112} Said [The Prophet], "Lord, judge [between us] in truth. And our Lord is the Beneficent, the Besought against what you [disbelievers] describe."
