Quote:
{16:90} Indeed, God orders justice and good conduct and giving to relatives and forbids immorality and bad conduct and oppression. He admonishes you that perhaps you will be reminded.

I suggest,
{16:90} "Verily, God orders justice, benefaction and giving to kin and forbids debauchery, the objectionable and oppression. He admonishes you that perhaps you may remember."

Quote:
{16:91} And fulfill the covenant of God when you have taken it, [O believers], and do not break oaths after their confirmation while you have made God, over you, a witness. Indeed, God knows what you do.

I suggest,
{16:91} And fulfill the pledge to God when you have pledged, and do not demolish oaths after emphasizing them while you have made God, over you, a sponsor. Verily, God knows what you do.

Quote:
{16:92} And do not be like she who untwisted her spun thread after it was strong [by] taking your oaths as [means of] deceit between you because one community is more plentiful [in number or wealth] than another community. God only tries you thereby. And He will surely make clear to you on the Day of Resurrection that over which you used to differ.

This verse has a fascinating syntactic ambiguity! The word أنكاثا could be parsed as an accusative for لا تكونوا (Do not be), in which case the proper translation would be "perfidious", or as a second accusative for نقضت (She wrecked), in which case the proper translation would be "tangles". I'll try to echo that ambiguity. I suggest,
{16:92} And do not be like she who wrecked her spun thread after [it had] strength, faithless: Taking your oaths as deception amongst you because one community is more plentiful than another community. Verily, God only tries you thereby. And He will surely clarify to you on the Day of Resurrection what you have been differing about.
