Quote:
{15:36} He said,"My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected."

I suggest,
{15:36} He said, "My Lord, then repreive me until the Day they are sent out (Resurrection)."

Quote:
{15:37} [God] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved

I suggest,
{15:37} [God] said, "Then you are of the reprieved,"

Quote:
{15:39} [Iblees] said, "My Lord, because You have put me in error, I will surely make [disobedience] attractive to them on earth, and I will mislead them all

I suggest,
{15:39} [Iblees] said, "My Lord, because You lured me, I will surely embellish [disobedience] to them in the earth, and I will lure them all,"

Quote:
{15:40} Except, among them, Your chosen servants."

I suggest,
{15:40} "Except your worshipers among them [who are] saved."

Quote:
{15:41} [God] said, "This is a path [of return] to Me [that is] straight.

I suggest,
{15:41} [God] said, "This is a path, [I commit it] upon Me, [that is] straight.

Quote:
{15:42} Indeed, My servants - no authority will you have over them, except those who follow you of the deviators.

I suggest,
{15:42} "Verily, My worshipers - you do not have authority over them, except those who follow you of the awry."

I don't have a translation suggestion here, but I have just noticed an interpretation that may be worth documenting. When someone commits a sin, or many sins, one of the consequences that this verse suggests is that Satan acquires an authority on that person. Therefore, it's not just the risk of the committed sin, it's the risk of further sins that Satan's authority may bring.

This may not be novel (and may not be true :D), but I thought it's worth a post.

It sure is. Thanks for writing.

Recall the verse which quotes Satan on the Day of Judgment trying to absolve himself from misleading people?

Satan has no power over man except that which man gives him! The way man does that is by sinning. The more man sins the more empowered over him Satan becomes. We seek refuge in God from Satan, the outcast.
