Quote:
{14:18} The example of those who disbelieve in their Lord is [that] their deeds are like ashes which the wind blows forcefully on a stormy day; they are unable [to keep] from what they earned a [single] thing. That is what is extreme error.

I suggest,
{14:18} The example of those who disbelieve in their Lord [is that] their deeds are like ashes which the wind blows forcefully on a stormy day; they are unable [to keep] from what they earned a [single] thing. That is what far misguidance is.

Quote:
{14:19} Have you not seen that God created the heavens and the earth in truth? If He wills, He can do away with you and produce a new creation.

I suggest,
{14:19} Have you not seen that God created the heavens and the earth in truth? If He wills, He would dismiss you and bring a new creation.

Quote:
{14:20} And that is not difficult for God.

I suggest,
{14:20} And that is not for God in the least insurmountable.

Frankly, I think "do away" is closer to the meaning than "dismiss."

The order of the wording in the new translation of 14:20 gets in the way. Also, are you adding "in the least" because of the ب in بعزيز?

Yes, it is. But "do away with" is three words while "dismiss" is one word, like the Arabic. How about: exile, oust, or banish?

Would punctuation make it easier, e.g.,
{14:20} And that is not for God, in the least, insurmountable.

Exactly. It's a subtle emphasis that can easily be lost in a translation.

OK, so I'm going to suggest,

{14:19} Have you not seen that God created the heavens and the earth in truth? If He wills, He would oust you and bring a new creation.

{14:20} And that is not for God, in the least, insurmountable.
