I suggest,
{12:18} And they brought upon his shirt false blood. [Jacob] said, "Nay, your souls tempted you to something, so, [I will have] nice patience. And God is the one sought for help against that which you describe."

Nice, but I would change "nice"

to "good" in describing "patience."

BTW, I wonder if "جميل" linguistically means "total" or "complete" hence the connotation of beauty. I couldn't find a good elaboration in the dictionaries.

Good observation. Exegesis books mentioned that صبر جميل means a patience undisturbed by moments of despair. This is also consistent with their definition of سراحا جميلا (letting go without resentment), الصفح الجميل (clemency that is not mixed with regret) and هجرا جميلا (a farewell that is free from ill feelings). So, one can see that the common thread in the word is flawlessness: beauty is flawless appearance, untainted conduct, proper words, etc.
