I like Arberry's translation of يرتع as "to frolic." I suggest,
{12:12} "Send him with us tomorrow to frolic and play, and verily, we are guarding him."

How about,
{12:12} "Send him with us tomorrow to frolic and play, and we are certainly going to be guarding him."
You know I like to always keep the tense during translation.

That's equally good. I can go for it. But I believe the adverb must precede the verb to be, i.e.,
{12:11} They said, "O our father, why do you not entrust us with Joseph while we verily are [good] advisers to him?
