Quote:
{12:83} [Jacob] said, "Rather, your souls have enticed you to something, so patience is most fitting. Perhaps God will bring them to me all together. Indeed it is He who is the Knowing, the Wise."

I suggest,
{12:83} [Jacob] said, "Rather, your souls have enticed you to some affair, so [I resolve to] fair patience. Perhaps God will bring them to me altogether. Indeed it is He who is the much Knowing, the very Wise."

Quote:
{12:84} And he turned away from them and said, "Oh, my sorrow over Joseph," and his eyes became white from grief, for he was [of that] a suppressor.

I suggest,
{12:84} And he turned away from them and said, "Oh, my sorrow over Joseph!" and his eyes whitened from sadness, and he [fell into] melancholy.

Quote:
{12:85} They said, "By God, you will not cease remembering Joseph until you become fatally ill or become of those who perish."

I suggest,
{12:85} They said, "By God, you will not cease remembering Joseph until you become prey or become one of the perished."

Quote:
{12:86} He said, "I only complain of my suffering and my grief to God, and I know from God that which you do not know.

I suggest,
{12:86} He said, "I only bemoan my anguish and grief to God, and I know from God what you do not know."

Quick suggestions:

12:83 "good patience"

12:84 "his eyes whitened from sadness, as he [became] depressed."

12:86: Fantastic!

Actually, fair , IMHO, is a perfect translation of جميل, which in modern times is always translated "beautiful." The reason is that one of the meanings of "fair" is "free from blemish, imperfection, or anything that impairs the appearance, quality, or character," as in "a fair maiden."

You're thinking that فـ is circumstantial, and it could be, but I believe it's consequential. How about mitigating both, for instance,
{13:84} And he turned away from them and said, "Oh, my sorrow over Joseph!" and his eyes whitened from sadness; he has been suppressing [it].
