Quote:
{11:15} Whoever desires the life of this world and its adornments - We fully repay them for their deeds therein, and they therein will not be deprived.
Great translation. I'd only translate
الدنيا as "the nearest life" to be closest to the Arabic word,
{11:15} Whoever wants [this] the nearest life and its adornments - We fully repay them for their deeds therein, and they therein will not be deprived.Quote:
{11:16} Those are the ones for whom there is not in the Hereafter but the Fire. And lost is what they did therein, and worthless is what they used to do.
Great translation. I'd only explain what the adverb "therein" in the second sentence refers to, otherwise it may be understood to refer to the Hereafter. I suggest,
{11:16} Those, there is not in the Hereafter for them but the Fire. And what they did in it (this life) sank, and void is what they have been doing.
