Post subject:  Syntactic ambiguity

In addition to semantic ambiguity, the Quran also uses syntactic ambiguity a lot. One example of syntactic ambiguity I already pointed out in the Frequently Asked Questions subforum, question "The Quran cannot be translated".

It represents an equal challenge to translation as semantic ambiguity does, but often the ambiguity can be preserved by the deliberate neglect of punctuation, as I showed in the example above.
