المشهور أن الأولين من كان قبل نبينا من الرسل والأنبياء من كان من كبار أصحابهم إذا جمعوا يكونون أكثر بكثير من أمة محمد وعلى هذا قيل إن أصحاب الرسول
صعب عليهم قلتهم فنزل بعده {ثلة من الأولين وثلة من الآخرين} اهـ
Brief translation: The companions of the Prophet (PBUH) felt bad that they are a few then 56:39-40 were revealed.
God does not tell us what distinguishes the group about whom 56:13-14 are from the group about whom 56:39-40 are. They are two different groups of believers. It is obvious that the first group is more favored. Why? It must be because they had stronger faith and have done greater works! Paradise has ranks. So, what is the need to claim abrogation?
