For:
Ibn Salaama (implied, but he meant that 2:185 defines capacity, said Aş-Şa`di).
Well, that's not what Ibn Salaama said in his book الناسخ والمنسوخ في القرآن الكريم, page 41. He wrote this:
ـ(لا يكلف الله نفسا إلا وسعها)ـ علم الله تعالى أن الوسع لا يطاق، فخفف الوسع بقوله ـ(يريد الله بكم اليسر ولا يريد بكم العسر)ـ، وقد قيل: إن الله تعالى نسخها بآية آخرها
Translation: God knew that "capacity" is unbearable, so He
lightened it with 2:185.
No explanation as to why God ordered full capacity first though He knew it was unbearable! Isn't that attributing randomness, or worse: change of mind, to God?
