Ibn Hazm Al-Andalusi writes that these two verses,

And

Were both revealed about the Jews and were both abrogated by the "Jizya verse",

We've explained before a number of times whom the Jizya verse applies to and why it did not abrogate anything. So, 5:13 was not abrogated.

Furthermore, 3:159 is not about the Jews. It's about fellow Muslims!

See also: Did 9:5, 9:25 or 8:58 abrogate 5:13?

I do not understand how something that obvious can be ignored without comment in a scholarly book. I am not trying to attack. I just really do not understand how this is possible.
