Quote:
{9:100} And the first forerunners [in the faith] among the immigrants and the allies and those who followed them with good conduct - God is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him, and He has prepared for them gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever. That is the great attainment.

Great translation, especially "forerunners!" Only thing is the translation of الأنصار as "allies." The translation is technically correct, but it literally means "the helpers" and it refers specifically to the people of Medina. So, I suggest,
{9:100} And the first forerunners [in the faith] among the immigrants and the helpers (from Medina) and those who followed them with good conduct - God is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him, and He has prepared for them gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever. That is the great attainment.

Quote:
{9:101} And among those around you of the bedouins are hypocrites, and [also] from the people of Madinah. They have become accustomed to hypocrisy. You, [O Muhammad], do not know them, [but] We know them. We will punish them twice [in this world]; then they will be returned to a great punishment.

I suggest,
{9:101} And among those around you of the desert Arabs are hypocrites, and [also] from the people of Medina; who have become accustomed to hypocrisy. You [, O Muhammad,] do not know them, [but] We know them. We will torment them twice then they will be returned to a great torment.

It is most interesting here that God makes it clear that only He knows who is a hypocrite, yet many extremists think they know them and have the divine right to kill them!
